CHAPTER 4: SETUP FOR THE SOMO 650 39

STEP 4: TURN ON THE Bluetooth CHS

Press and hold the small power button for 3 seconds, until the LED

turns blue and the scanner beeps twice (low - high).

The LED should blink blue once every second to show that the Bluetooth

radio is on but not connected.

The following Bluetooth mode sequence is for the Bluetooth CHS v2.

Time after turning on scanner Bluetooth mode

0-5 minutes Discoverable and connectable

5-20 minutes Connectable

20 minutes Scanner automatically powers off

STEP 5: PREPARE THE CONNECTION

Follow the instructions for the scenario you want to set up for.

SCENARIO 1:

1. Tap on the SocketScan icon

at the bottom of the screen. In the pop-up

menu, tap Connect CS.

Note: The Connect CS option appears only after cordless scanner support is

enabled.

2. If the Bluetooth radio of your device is turned off, Connect!Agent will ask

if you want to turn it on. Tap Yes.
